For the sixth year Cameron has been working with Basking Shark Scotland. The summer weather so far has been better than 2017 but still some fresh days. The sharks have be ideal. Lots of memorable days on the water with plenty of them about. Always amazing to see a shark feeding hard with the nose right out of the water.
Cameron was out West on a charter when he came across a super pod of common dolphins. The pod covered a large area and would have been 200 plus. They played alongside the boat for over an hour. The guests were over the moon with the experience. Apparently you could hear the whistling from inside the boat and on the bow as they interacted.
One of the most regular (and favourite) customers in the past 10 years had a big day to celebrate. So they decided to charter the boat and head out to Coll. They had a very tasty lunch at the Coll Hotel. They also bumped into Cameron as he was out there doing another trip. On the way they spotted some basking sharks and eagles. The weather was a wee bit choppy but luckily the direction was favourable. A wee stop at Tobermory before heading down the sound to Oban. The team wishes her a very Happy Birthday.
Last week Ross Edgley swam by Oban and up the Sound of Mull. Ross is aiming to be the first man to swim all the way around the UK. Also trying to do it in 100 days! An incredible challenge and the team wish him luck. The boys provided a transfer from the vessel back to the mainland. Sponsored by Red Bull, this is not the first incredible challenge he has done.
