Dubh Artach

The boys headed out on a perfect evening to Dubh Artach Lighthouse. It is situated 18 miles west of Colonsay on a very remote basalt skerry. It was completed in 1872 with a height of 44 metres. It was automated in 1971.
The boys managed to land safely and coincided with the NLB engineers annual maintenance visit. After an amazing look around the facilities they headed back to the boat. The tender launch was a bit messy but all safe and sound back on the RIB. The sunset was amazing as they powered east back to base.
