The team were asked to carry out some surveys locally at the Falls of Lora. The smallest vessel ‘Fingal’ was used for this particular charter. They departed SAMS with scientists aboard and loaded with technology. The devices were deployed on a flood tie and also on an Ebb tide a couple of days later. Fingal was ideal for nipping in and out of the currents dropping and recovering the gear.
