Lady Smith was called in to act as a platform for some surveys. The diving took place on a number of piers to check the condition of the structures. It turned out to be an ideal vessel for the job. The heated cabin with desk allowed for communications to be set up. The standby diver kept warm just inside the door. The main diver enjoyed the use of the Goodchild platform to be lowered and raised from the water. The kettle and biscuits also kept everyone happy.
