Last month Cameron was up north carrying out a survey. Part of the area included Sandaig Bay and islands. Amazingly he spotted 2 otters in the bay. Gavin Maxwell who wrote ‘Ring of Bright water’ lived in a house in the same bay also known as Camusfearna. He kept several wild otters at the house. He led an incredible and interesting life from writing books to hunting basking sharks and a special services instructor during WW2.
Today, the 27th of May is also known as World Otter Day.
