Coastal Connection have been assisting with some surveys in the local waters. Some people might have noticed a black catamaran with a yellow frame cruising about. These are Unmanned Survey Vessels, they are surveying the seabed between Mull and Oban. Incredible wee boats, packed with technology. It is very efficient too as they don’t require a huge survey vessel and run on very little fuel. No need for anyone to be at sea rolling about. The team escort them in and out of Oban Bay when required.
