Dolphins and Iona

On Saturday Cameron had a group for a full day charter. They set off from Oban and cruised out to Iona. On the way just off Loch Buie they came across a pod of 6 bottle nose dolphins. They played with the boat for 20 mins with a few showing off their jumps and spins. Then it was a quick run to Iona for a 2 hour walk around the island. The next stop was a look at Fingal’s cave with lots of puffins, guillemots, razorbills, fulmars and shags. Cameron managed to keep dry all day dodging the rain showers. After a quick look at Treshnish they headed for the sound of Mull and down to Duart Castle before finishing in Oban. A great day for the round Mull trip.

Meanwhile Struan had a boat full to Tobermory for the ‘Tobermory Harbour Association’ Open day. There was a full pontoon with the Lifeboat there and some day trip boats open to show their vessels.
