Gometra

Today Struan took two clients to the Island of Gometra on the West of Mull. Reason being to hand deliver important documents to one of the residents on the Island.
The sea condition wasn’t perfect with fairly strong winds from the south west so we travelled up the Sound of Mull and round Caliach Point, which had a large swell running. The boat took it in her stride and only took 2 hours and 30 minutes to reach the Island. We had a following sea on the way home and with good visibility returned to Oban in just 2 hours and 5 minutes.
We spotted two huge Basking Sharks off the north end of Mull and two very close together as we went into Gometra’s Bay on the south side.
