Oban Youth Cafe

Coastal Connection had a private charter today with the Oban Youth Cafe. The weather was very settled with a calm sea state. On the trip they spotted porpoise and some guillemots shedding their winter plumage. They had a close look at Gylen Castle and the Fish farm where a young seal was swimming 4 metres from the boat. On the North pier the Coaster ‘Vitin’ was unloading road salt for the council. The high pressure combined with the spring tides produced a very low tide at 1300.
A great trip for spotting wildlife.
