Planning Department's day around Mull

On Saturday the team had both boats out with the planning department from Argyll and Bute Council. The plan was to head round Mull so the first leg was straight to Iona to visit the Abbey. After a tea break on Iona they headed for Staffa but on the way they found 18 Basking sharks which swam around the boat, an amazing sight. With the weather being so calm there was almost no swell on the West side of Mull which allowed the boats to get right into Fingals Cave. Once the planners had plenty of photos of Staffa they headed for Tobermory passing three more Basking Sharks on the way. In Tobermory the group had a late lunch and a few refreshments before the last part of the journey down the Sound of Mull to Oban.
It was a great day out on the water and the weather couldn’t have been better.
