Sea Glider

Yesterday Coastal Connection transferred a Sea Glider called Talisker from the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS)to deep water West of Tiree, only 20 miles from Barra. The conditions were good with the wind dropping throughout the day and shelter from Coll and Tiree. After a few final checks and tests the Glider was launched and is hoping to head out to Rockall and up to Iceland. The Glider will provided a whole host of measurements at various depths.
