Tobermory Weekend

The weekend saw 2 trips up the Sound of Mull to Tobermory.
Saturday was a beautiful day with blue skies and the sun shining. On the way up to Tobemory they had some great views up the Great Glen and of Duart castle. After the guests had lunch and a stroll round Tobermory they headed back down to Oban. The wind had picked up in the Lynn of Morvern but didn’t hassle the boat at all. A great day to be in Tobermory.

Sunday was another trip to Tobermory. The sea was ‘Oil’ flat in the Firth of Lorne, this allowed the team to spot a porpoise and a seal. It was amazing the difference in wind strength at the top of the sound. It was fairly fresh near Calve Island. On the return trip we took an extra 4 passengers back down. This was due to a bus being scheduled didn’t turn up. It was a great run back down with a following sea all the way down to Craignure. The wind had eased in the Firth. They went over to the Creags to spot some seals. Once back in Oban the weather was still beautiful. Hopefully the weather will stay.
