Kingairloch & Mull
The poor September weather continues but with the odd spell of sun and calm winds the team were out.
Cameron had a family over to Kingairloch Estate for a beautiful lunch at the Boat House. (recently had a very good write up in the ‘Scotland on Sunday’). The wet weather came in at 1400 but the wind dropped allowing a smooth run to Duart Castle and then back to Oban.
The Expedition Vessel Fram was anchored in Oban bay. The vessel has just come down from Greenland and is heading South and ending up in Antarctica in a couple of months time.
At 2200 there was a run over to Craignure with the Mull RFC youth team. Due to a technical issue with the bus it delayed the charter. The weather was beam on and the boat powered across to Mull.
